Hotjar is one of the popular platforms for tracking user and customer behavior on a website or on a landing page used in advertisements that I have used since the beginning of my career. The details are essential because they show you what is and is not working with your website’s visitors.
Dislikes :
Hotjar still does not provide its users with completely accurate data. When considering hotjar data as the only data to understand your user journey on a website, the heatmaps provided can be flawed at times.

I’m a digital marketer who has been using this platform for quite some time. It has primarily assisted me in understanding where new or old users are leaving or which parts of the content on the landing page are more engaging with the customer and which are not, allowing you to make changes and test them again.

Hotjar is an excellent analytics and user experience tracking tool. It is a fantastic tool for gaining a thorough understanding of how people interact with websites.
The tool has a plethora of features and an extremely user-friendly interface.
Dislikes :
It is not possible to monitor embedded iframes. The configuration of embedded iframes is complicated, but it works in the end. Additionally, entire website heatmaps should be provided to facilitate analysis.

We needed a simple way to track our website visitors’ behavior. We had spent countless hours attempting to understand what our visitor required. Hotjar is simple to set up. But I’m still unable to get it to work. Their technical support is fantastic and has always come through for us.

Hotjar was simple to integrate. I didn’t even have to involve my development team.
Dislikes :
Everything is jumbled. Useless. They must have gone into full privacy mode because they are based in France. That’s fine, but I didn’t realize it until after I’d already paid for a full year.

When creating heatmaps, it is not always user-friendly. The screenshot that tool users can be glitchy or not load completely/correctly, and it’s still not easy to fix without spending some time in the help center.

By combining polls and heatmaps with a/b testing tools, I can determine why a specific optimization on a page is working and understand any consequences of a user experiencing a new change versus a user who did not.

This tool is amazing! On your website, you can see exactly where your visitors move their mouse. You can improve your website communication by better understanding the UX.
Dislikes :
You won’t be able to see where the visitor will click if they click the menu.

We have solved many problems as a result of UX inspection. For example, we discovered that people were clicking on an image with some icons, so we made this icon clickable, increasing the amount of time spent on our website 😉
