Even then, Rieker gained a reputation for quality work and achieved a high level of awareness in Central Europe. The company is still family-owned in the fifth generation and thanks to a consistent brand strategy, the Rieker shoes are now valued worldwide for their high level of comfort and fashion orientation.
In the early 1970s, a new company headquarters was established in Switzerland and production was expanded internationally. Rieker currently employs around 20,000 people worldwide, particularly in the countries of Morocco, Slovakia, Tunisia and Vietnam, where the company’s own production facilities are located.
They supply shoes and accessories to around 9,000 independent retailers, mainly in Europe. Rieker’s anti-stress footwear is unique. In order to meet the demands of its special constructions and to be able to react quickly to fashion trends, practically everything that Rieker sells is also produced by Rieker.
