If you want to host a Minecraft modpack like Sky Factory, you'll need a good server, which I believe costs too much money. I believe it is simply more convenient to run your own server on a different computer. Aside from that, I found it to be simple to use, and any issues were quickly resolved by the Sparked Host staff.
