It's difficult to measure 150-year-old Victorian windows! Even with the directions, I think I could have gone 1/8th inch less on the top and bottom. The good news is that the displays are adaptable, so they are functional. Just not the ideal match I had hoped for, but after some window repairs (i.e. eliminating 150 years of paint build up), I believe they will be.
