The initial key they sent me via email along with the receipt was a "scrapped token," meaning it was inoperable. After I emailed customer support, I received a second product key, which worked as intended. I had to wait until Monday for a response because I purchased the key on a Friday night. Customer assistance appears to be quick otherwise. Since I only spent $72 for the license, which normally costs $150 directly from Microsoft, I believe the small inconvenience was worthwhile.
