Resolve Physician Agency was founded by Dr. Sidney Christiansen to provide professional guidance to other physicians as they transition in their careers. His experiences in both private practice and academics have led him to the conclusion that physicians simply do not receive proper training in the business of medicine. He has assembled a team of professionals to be a valuable resource for physicians.
Physicians make up the most important part of the healthcare team. As an experienced clinician and surgeon returning to work in an Academic Medical Center, I was immediately struck by the lack of preparation being offered to physicians in training for the next step in their careers. Recognizing this deficit in career preparation and advocacy, I developed a series of seminars for the residents about the Business of Medicine. My goal was to educate and empower residents and fellows as they embarked on this vital chapter of their career.
