Sobre Matias Laca
About Matias Laca:
"I was born in a small town in Uruguay. As a child I liked to play with other children, only for some reason they didn't like to play with me, they always pushed me away, that made my self-esteem begin to drop little by little.
I inadvertently started drowning my sorrows with food and became the fat kid in the class. When I was in school I suffered too much bullying. Clearly it was never within my possibilities to talk to a girl that I liked, in my opinion that was only for the "popular", "cute", or the "rich" and I was never one of them.
As the years passed and I became a teenager, I began to worry that I couldn't attract the attention of any girl, even the ones I considered less attractive, all my friends had girlfriends, and I only had my right hand and sometimes, the left. Because of this, they made me the worst jokes you could imagine. I turned 18 and moved to another city to go to college, and I thought, new city, new people, new life. But I was wrong, more and more possibilities out there and I was more and more unable to achieve anything with any girl. I used to walk down the street seeing girls walk past me and thinking "I wish she was my girlfriend", "I wish she could introduce this girl to my parents and my friends", "
I started to resort to alcohol, I got drunk from Thursday to Sunday every day, I drank with the sole purpose of building up the courage to go to a disco and be able to ask a girl to dance in the hope that she wanted to spend a moment with me. But when I came to the club, and tried to dance with a girl, and she immediately rejected me, that made me feel so, so bad that it ended my night and returned me to my house, to my loneliness."
