Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. ShopperChecked uses very few, and only to make the site work for you.
Cookies we use
| Name | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
scsess | Keeps you logged in, and protects forms such as login, sign-up and review forms from being sent by another website in your name. It is set when you log in, open a page with a form, or visit a few other pages such as the homepage. It holds a random identifier, not your personal details. | Up to 30 days, or until you log out |
cg_lang | Remembers which language you chose for the site. | One year |
Cookies we don't use
- Advertising cookies
- Cookies that track you across other websites
- Analytics cookies that identify you personally
Other services
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set a short-lived security cookie to protect it from automated abuse. If you choose "Continue with Google", Google handles that sign-in on its own pages, under its own cookie rules.
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Deleting scsess logs you out, and deleting cg_lang resets your language choice. If you block cookies completely, you won't be able to log in or submit forms, but you can still read every review.
Updates
If we add or remove a cookie, we will update this page and the date at the top.
